As long as I can remember, I've taken photos. As a child, I always had my little point and shoot camera in hand to photograph every outing with my family and friends. I couldn’t wait to develop rolls of film at the drugstore so I could work on my scrapbooks and photo albums. While I had no photography skills to speak of, I definitely understood the value of documenting special occasions and everyday life.

After having my son in 2009, I tried to take gorgeous newborn images to put together an announcement, and found that it was a lot harder than it looked. Not easily discouraged, I was determined to learn. I bought my first DSLR, took a beginner’s class, and was immediately hooked. Since then, I've taken many photography classes online and in person, read stacks of photography books, and practiced incessantly. What started as a casual hobby quickly became a lifestyle.

After practicing on my family and friends, I started my business in 2014. I love photographing families, couples, individuals, small businesses, nonprofits, and events. Not only will I capture the what’s going on but also the emotions and all the details that make this time worth remembering. You will have fun at your session and will look back on it fondly! I take plenty of time to get to know you, and deliver a truly customized experience from start to finish.

When I'm not running around with my camera, you can find me volunteering, playing clarinet in a local wind ensemble, running on trails or taking a class in the gym, and spending time with my family and friends.
